'Karnal' is one of major city of Haryana. It is also known as a city of 'Daanveer Karna'. Selflessness is the foundation of the city. It is known all over the world for production of Rice, Wheat, and Milk and for agriculture research Institutions like NDRI, CSSRI, Wheat Research Directorate, National Bureau of Animal Genetics Resources, Sugarcane Breeding Institute, etc.

The city is growing at a great pace towards development and information sector making it an important magnet for the state of Haryana.

How do you see Karnal as a smart city in next 5 years?

Karnal from my point of view can become a great city but the things where it lacks are less job opportunities in near by area. If one want to do a job in corporates then he/she definately needs to move to Gurgaon etc. For that the parson needs to migrate its home and all. So we can make our karnal city better by bringing investment in near by areas or on our national highway (nh-1) for the sake of easiness. And also there are less streets lights in our city like Atal park (sec-8) road.
