Namaste, My suggestion is, why can’t we stop manufacturing plastics at first place. Secondly, once we have completely stopped manufacturing of plastics, then we can start recycling the rest of the plastics remained. Once they turn into waste, which cannot be further recycled, then we can use that in the making of tar roads. We have to gradually start bringing in bamboo or any other wooden, ceramic products as a replacement for plastics. In cars also, they use hard plastics. We need to research on any other alternative like Aluminium alloys for that, which are light weight and environment friendly also. Instead of plastic covers we can deploy paper covers or any other replacement. Many toys are being made by plastics. Why can’t we replace that by other alternatives? Likewise we need to find alternatives in all the places such as Tupperwares till auto-motives. Everywhere we need to replace plastics and have to make zero plastic Bhaarath.

To move toward a plastic pollution-free future, embracing the 5R formula — Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repurpose, and Recycle — is essential. The first step is to Refuse single-use plastics whenever possible. This means saying no to unnecessary plastic items like straws, cutlery, carry bags, or over-packaged products. Next, we must Reduce our overall consumption of plastic by choosing sustainable alternatives and being mindful of what we buy. For example, purchasing in bulk can reduce packaging waste, and opting for durable goods instead of disposables lessens environmental impact. The third R, Reuse, encourages us to make the most of what we already have — from carrying reusable water bottles and bags to repurposing plastic containers for storage. Going a step further, Repurpose involves creatively using plastic waste for new functions, such as turning old bottles into plant holders or organizers. Finally, Recycle responsibly by segregating waste and ensuring recyclable plastics are proces

To reduce plastic bags price should be raised to a great extent and other better options of bags price should be reduced and encouragement for own cloth bags is a must. In market we need bags for items purchased and if price of plastic bags will be too high than both buyer and seller will prefer other suitable bags of less price. For recycling separate dustbins should be placed in corners of street for only plastic waste with proper instructions. Dustbins availability will reduce plastic kachra on roads etc.and will be better utilized. Plastic items price should be raised to a great extent so that people dont purchase them unnecessarily and shift to other items or reduce its use.
