We bring to you this wonderful news that our city-Pasighat has been selected under 23 fast track cities by Govt. of India and we need to submit the revised plan by 15th April 2016. As we know that we worked very hard in our previous attempt however unfortunately we missed coming in the first 20 list of cities and finished at 39th rank - missing by just 3 points. Let us take this as a positive feedback that we were very close to winning it and were far ahead of many other big cities.

Looking ahead, we need to work on the gaps identified by Govt. of India to revamp the proposal. One of the key weaknesses identified is SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunities and Threat) analysis. Here, specifically, Weakness and Threat needs to be more elaborate. We have uploaded a discussion page on mygov portal about this aspect of proposal and need support of people of Pasighat to come up in big numbers and contribute towards this discussion. Let’s brace up for this challenge and work with renewed and reinvigorated spirit in the direction of making Pasighat a smart city.

What kind of a Smart City where at every tourist spot, every market and at every red light there are so many beggars. I think if we are really planning to make our PASIGHAT a smart city we should seriously think of firstly rehabilitation or employment of the beggars and make ourselves a beggar free city. I propose the idea of training these people in some form of traditional and cultural art and giving them areas where they can perform or work for a living.

The Department studies, assesses and forecasts the need for technological development in specific industrial sectors in particular. The public is also responsible for facilitating and increasing the smart city. The Govt. is also responsible for Intellectual Property Rights relating to Patents, Designs,

Traffic congestion is a big problem in the township especially the market area. we should have smart traffic control facility. The roads should be widened and to minimize traffic volume, we should have bypasses. Regulating traffic through one way routing at least at peak hours is a solution for traffic congestion.

For," Smart city “Pasighat", has to be smarter enough in following ways. 1) Quality Education. 2) Employment Generation. 3) Basic Transportation facility. 4) Waste management. 5) Plastic free zone. 6) Crime free zone. 7) Online file transfer. 8) Rain water harvesting. 9) Public Administration. 10) Better Sanitation Facilities. 11) House for everyone.

Deforestation,illegal means of hunting and fishing ,and the most disturbing and seious case of disposing unwanted debries, garbage,objects and religious disposal into the waterbodies and dense forest are some of the most common offence we see today. Such activity not only disturb but destroy the shelter for their existence. So such activity must be controlled and minimised to the most possible extent. Retaining the freshness of the natural beauty must be one of our main agenda.

The people of pasighat are dependent upon farming only, there should be jobs for all the adult people of pasighat, there should be good sanitary and food, all children should be send to the school for higher studies. There is only one college and there is no other college in pasighat so the student have to move outside the city for higher studies.
