We bring to you this wonderful news that our city-Pasighat has been selected under 23 fast track cities by Govt. of India and we need to submit the revised plan by 15th April 2016. As we know that we worked very hard in our previous attempt however unfortunately we missed coming in the first 20 list of cities and finished at 39th rank - missing by just 3 points. Let us take this as a positive feedback that we were very close to winning it and were far ahead of many other big cities.

Looking ahead, we need to work on the gaps identified by Govt. of India to revamp the proposal. One of the key weaknesses identified is SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunities and Threat) analysis. Here, specifically, Weakness and Threat needs to be more elaborate. We have uploaded a discussion page on mygov portal about this aspect of proposal and need support of people of Pasighat to come up in big numbers and contribute towards this discussion. Let’s brace up for this challenge and work with renewed and reinvigorated spirit in the direction of making Pasighat a smart city.

Youth power can drive our county to new heights. For that only school or college education will not be enough. We will need skill centres to develop specific skills like china. We have got work force. How skilled they are we, and then only we can make changes. Our markets are flooded with Chinese goods, why not MAKE IN INDIA.

For retrofitting the market area has been selected. What I find in Market area of Pasighat has very vast scope for retrofitting. However, the area is getting more and more buildings in last 2 years though it seems it do belong to government. Legal or Illegal no one is asking about, no one questions. District administration is only responsible for it.

I don't think that roads, authorities, poverty, unemployment are barriers for making Pasighat a Smart City. The biggest barrier is the mentality of our people. I won’t blame everyone, but there are some who just thing of making money at whatever cost. I don’t they belong to any society.

I feel that the reasons behind the SHORTAGE OF SKILLED MANPOWER in Pasighat are poor government policies. In Pasighat our leaders make their policies according to past. There is no future planning. We feel happy to say we serve MNC in Pasighat and abroad. But no one think about the requirement of skilled manpower according to our population.

Water supply; - water supply is very poor in pasighat. In during e=summer season there is lack of drinking water, the water is available but its duty. Government should take important decision about the problem of water and also the public should be available of drinking water and also the public should take care about the water supply, water should not be waste. We can harvest the rain water to utilize for our daily needs. We all know that water is the most important thing to live.

Pasighat needs to be made plastic free zone. The big showroom need to address the by giving customer cloth bags. Proper drainage and 24 hrs water supply for all the residents of Pasighat and surrounding area has to be there we should also see that not even single educated youth is unemployed. There is a need to set up tourist information centers in d city also signage’s need to be improved. We need to use non conventional sources like solar energy to reduce dependency on electricity.
