Electronics Sector is a critical Sector of the Indian Economy. It is one of the pillars of “Make in India” and “Digital India” programs of the Government.
Keeping in view that the Electronics Manufacturing Sector holds a great potential in the Indian context, and there has been a gap between the achievement and the potential of this sector, NITI Aayog has prepared a Draft Strategy Paper for Make in India in Electronics.
This Strategy paper titled Make in India - Strategy for Electronic Products has been uploaded on NITI Aayog’s website and can be accessed here: http://niti.gov.in/writereaddata/files/document_publication/Electronics%...

We would appreciate valuable comments and inputs on the Strategy Paper from relevant stakeholders and public at large by 15th June 2016.

From products point of view, we can also look at the market as consumer and industrial. From consumer point of view India is a small market yet we see large global brands wishing to partake in the significant growth it makes possible. Now can we view this as an opportunity to increase employment in the country.

This paper makes an interesting read.... I am happy to see that there is effort to think through on some industry and market realities. Let me add my thoughts to it. First lets look at the market... While the data clearly shows that 65b domestic market is small as compared to 2tn world market, we must also consider that this also shows that future possibilities in domestic market are humungous.

In the present many workers of manufacturing industry's have less skills, low creative thoughts for improve productivity.due to many ITI'S no giving proper training to students have related trades and many ITI'S form as a collection agents and they are no conduct ITI clasess regularly and taken some amount in final exams, from students for passing ITI Trade. Then they are producing talent/skill less people's in industry's. So please put quality ITI'S concept in NIIT Aayog for come skil workers.

I have seen that so many small scale Indian manufacturers produce the same product with same technical specification, but government organisation/ undertaking companies does not procure from Indian manufacturer because they are not approved vendor. It should be a policy to promot Indian manufacturers. And for that such department or undertaking companies has to bound to help them for approval. It will help Indian manufacturer to startup new product also and avoid high value importationsav.

sir, my views is based upon hybrid idea of electronics and swach bharat.My idea is based on "SMART BIN". Every locality and building consist of minimum 3 dustbin(Biodeg, recycle and non-recycle)that is usually closed and open with RFID digital-lock and usually every individuals have adhar card or govt. proof card consist RFID Tag whose records is in national municiple.Each time person use, bonus points add-on and every 100 point @0.01%reduce in tax(eg).Initial cost not so high and sustainable.

Govt. has made sincere effort for good governance and price control by make in India, start up India and other so many scheme to increase production, so that supply can be increased to comply the demand and rate can be decreased, I want to suggest that, WATER, ELCETRICITY & INFRA INCLUDING MANAGEMENT OF GOODS PRODUCED e.i. storage , supply etc, is the key factor to control the price of goods, further, CARD FOR ONLY FOOD ITEMS OF POOR required to control the price used day to day, best wishes

I ahve read the PDF attachment strategy draft of NITI with great interest. I would go with Import subsitution as a beginning step for India rather than Export substitution. Let us not compare with China; look at Taiwan - a very small country with highly specialized skills in manufacture of chips. PCB Assembly needs skills like AUTOCAD, PLC (Programmable Logic Control) algorithm writing so that innovations come up in this area and not just outsourced manufacturing for the domestic sector.

I REQUEST THAT ALL MONETARY SHOULD BE THROUGH AADHAR CARD USED AS DEBIT CARD ( CONNECTED ) TO THE INDIVIDUAL BANK . ALL PAYMENTS SHOULD BE THROUGH AADHAR CARD . ALL PROPERTY TRANSACTIONS SHOULD BE THROUGH AUCTIONS ONLY AND THROUGH AADHAR AND NOTICE ON INTERNET SITES OF REGISTRARS OFFICES CONCERNED . AND NOT IN HUSH HUSH MANNER ALL PAN NUMBERS SHOULD BE LINKED TO AADHAR CARDS AND BANK ACCOUNTS . ALL MUTATIONS AND FREE HOLDS

To have make in India Electronic Products our government should abolish discrimination of cast, religion or race in education or employment sectors as far as reservation in concerned except a few cases of those living in BPL, orphan or nearest keens of those soldiers who die in harness, and that too in entry level only. Because good students of India are being lured by developed countries of multinational companies so that India does not achieve to reach the 'Make in India' standard label.
