Mindset of Research does not start from universities it starts from elementary schools. This should be invested in students from ground up, from schools. Indian School system in my opinion is marks and book oriented, students out of school have mindset to settle in a job rather investing in innovation as thats the way they are trained and tuned. Necessary facilities should be provided to teachers and should be appraised not by students marks but by the students innovative thinking.

In each and every city a scientific lab is required .and this could be acheived via public private partnership model.where international companies could built it for there use as well.for intially companies shud allow students to reserch in there companies. To develope more advanced projects in the presence of companies experts

First and the priormost thing is reaserch and developement separate wings issued by the government where students can research and develope new products. And provide international seminars and support To industries and students from where they are able to get new ideas.for this very thing also a test must be required so that this facility should not be taken wrongfully.

Step away from theory...... Teach students practical things like repairing household electronics and have handyman classes in schools where they are taught to use tools. The Indiana mind is so keen that he/she can develop the theory on its own

R&D and Innovation the key for survival
1.It has to make mandatory for the industries ( both public and private sector).
2. More practical classes for students in the respective subjects
3 Faculties of all premiere institutions needs to be updated abt the development in their subject and the books or lectures needs updation
4 timely and proper appreciation for the ppl engaged in innovation. ( even if its a failure). This will encourage ppl to spent time towards it

A well publicised "Research and Innovation Festival", where scientists from the various research organizations in the country come on stage and speak about science, show experiments, interract with the audience will help bring science closer to the common man and vice-versa. The sponsors for the event could be private, government or both. The scientists, faculty or students can be given prize, incentives, etc. This sort of event will help bring teaching, research and citizens closer to science.

Mr. PM
I am looking at dream where every university has IP-Intellectual Property cell and all IP cell working under central govt. body. So, central govt. should know what kind of research running at different locations with progress of research. On some or valuable research govt. can offer sponsorship and provide funding so innovators can encourage gives his level best. India coming at #14 in the world on in total number of patent registered. Country has knowledge convert it in IP reach country

First there is no open project is started by govt in india
You should start a open project not a project which is signed to a particular institution.
So, that all students in india can participate in it..
Second most important reason of declining innovation in india is that everybody wants jobs. Jobs are given on the basis of college marks. So why should student focus on reserarch after all he want job.
So you should create criteria that all companies in india can take student from one exam
