Bamboo Interdental Brushes A great alternative to biodegradable dental floss and the environmentally friendly version of tepe plastic dental brushes, these eco friendly floss sticks are made with a bamboo handle and a wire made with stainless steel, with the head of the flossing brush that can be simply snapped after use and separated by the compostable handle.  They are also particularly recommended for those who have gaps between teeth wider than what a biodegradable floss could easily clean, and they are available in sizes from 0.4mm upwards.

Large Kitchen Sponge Cellulose large yellow sponges are particularly suited to wipe counters and clean sinks, tiles, bathtub and mirrors and delicate surfaces in general. We have all had one of these square cleaning sponges in our life, but did you know they are also available without plastic, 100% vegan sponges and made with cellulose – entirely made from wood fibres and therefore completely compostable and biodegradable

Soluble Cleaning Sachets UK Brand Iron and Velvet have different soluble sachets for different uses, as well as a variety of anti-bacterial cleaning solutions and products to clean windows, for floor cleaning, to clean ovens and surfaces and even kitchen and bathroom cleaning mixed products. They all come in little refill sachets that melt in water (simply add them to a reusable spray bottle) and they are ready to go, no plastic and no need for crazy chemical ingredients for an eco clean house cleaning!

Eco-Friendly Toilet Paper  A research by the eco-magazine Ethical consumer has found that major toilet paper brands are using less and less recycled paper to produce it, which means they are instead using virgin paper. The problem with that is obviously a high rate of deforestation for a product that we literally use just a few seconds before flushing it away.  Again, luckily for all of us who want to live more sustainably, there are companies out there who are creating amazing innovative products in an effort to save our planet and cut waste.

Spray Bottle Refillable glass bottles can be used for so many things: as glass spray bottles to wet your hair if you need a trim or simply refresh yourself in the summer months, as cleaning spray bottles, to use with natural pesticide to clean your house plants and so much more! They usually come in different sizes, I personally find the 250ml and 500ml most useful as I tend to refill them frequently with small bathes of natural products – they tend to work best when used immediately.

Sun Stick Are you planning on spending lots of time outdoors like us? If so, there is nothing more important than taking proper care of our skin while being exposed to sun rays. We usually think of suncream as a way of protecting us against unflattering red skin or a peeling nose, but the reality is a lot more serious than that. Not using sunscreen when being exposed to sun rays can have long lasting and very scary implications for our health.

Hand Cream    Chaffed and cracked hands are something of a regular theme for me. So this is why these little pots of natural goodness from Amazinc are a true lifesaver. They were originally designed for rock climbers to heal damaged skin, and they are very effective at treating cuts and rashes. These hand jams are great at treating scars as they are specifically designed to help with skin regeneration.  They soothe, calm and restore dry skin , and are suitable for sensitive skin types.

Sun Screen The main difference between chemical and mineral sunscreens can be found in their ingredient lists.  The active ingredients in chemical sunscreens are effective because they absorb the sun’s UV rays. However, before these chemicals can offer any UV protection, the skin has to absorb them.  A mineral sunscreen uses minerals as its active ingredients. The minerals most often used are zinc oxide and titanium dioxide. Mineral sunscreens work in a completely different way than chemical sunscreens. Instead of penetrating the skin and offering protection by dissipating UV rays, they simply sit on top of the skin and reflect UV rays away from the body

Plastic Free Hand Wash Most of our bathrooms very often have something in common: a bottle of liquid handwash by the side of the sink. But another communality is that they are usually packed in plastic bottles. However, there are some great exceptions for those who prefer liquid soap to solid bars, such as these lovely scented liquid soaps. They do not contain any bad chemical, colours or scents.

Night Cream Night creams are working their nurturing properties while we sleep, so it is very important to choose one that absorbs really well without leaving the skin oily or heavy. I personally always choose an organic face moisturiser that is rich in shea butter, jojoba oil and/or mango butter, as all these ingredients are  deeply nurturing and will give your skin a natural, healthy glow when you wake up in the morning.
