This task requires you to identify 10 most important initiatives that centre and state governments should take to realise the PM’s vision of digital India.

There has been a flood of suggestions in response to the Prime Minister’s vision for a digital India. It is important to prioritize the ideas and come up with a practical roadmap of what can be taken up first with maximum benefit to the nation. This task will help in drawing such a roadmap.

I have posted before, yesterday my generall suggestions, here is an excerpt of a presentation showing one of the directions: Education and Learning...how digital world is going to make learning a pervasive experience and certain issues of governance. We must try to go ahead of the rest of the world using strength of our younger population and embrace proactively this pervasive digital environment by aggressive research and judicious implementation. 1. Paperless Regional Transport Office (RTO) - State/Central Government Initiative 2. Paperless Mandal Revenue Office (MRO) - State/Centra Government Initiative 3. Paperless Railways (inclucing Chart Boards) - Central Government Initiative 4. Paperless Employee Provident Fund Office (EPFO) - Central Government Initiative 5. Paperless Post Offices - Central Government Initiative In order to achieve the above: 6. End to End Computer / Laptop / Tablet Manufacturing Units in India in 5 years time (Central/State Government 7. Providing Tax Subsidies to Companies (national and international) to set up plants in India 8. Set up Dedicated Training Institutes to train the staff of the above departments to use computer / laptops / tablets effectively and efficiently. 9. Set up dedicated Training Institutes to onboard staff quickly on to digital platform 10. Provide incentives to more departments to go digital and become paperless.

DIGITAL INDIA 1) Broad Band Connectivity(FTTH)to all villages. 2) E-Seva Centers in all Villages.2) Aadhar 100% completion 3) Computerization of all records of all departments 4) Super Computer at National level 5) Bank/P.O/ATM in every Village 6) E-Governance in all departments.7) Smart Card for all Govt Services 8) TAB/Mobile for every family 9) Digital Farm School with latest updates on climate,pest control,market trends in every Village 10)NO-CASH transaction in Govt Office.

1. Use of image search / image mathcing based ( like google image search) capability to find missing children/persons. 2. Creating a digital repositories of Citizens Documents like educational certificates, birth certificates to avoid frauds, easy anywhere online accesss. Simply by quoting the Id the citizen can furnish the digital document copies where required. 3. Enabling citizens to request for Home based delivery of services offered by Govt. Citizens are able to get services at doorstep
