7. Waste to Compost: While building plans sent for approval have to show toilets, unfortunately there is no insistence on clearly indicating how the waste is to be disposed. While larger buildings and apartments have Sewage Treatment Plants made mandatory, the smaller ones do not have to show any system of appropriate waste disposal. It is necessary to complete the nutrient cycle by including this is the building bye laws.

8. Wastewater to be treated : The urban development ministries/ municipal authorities have ambitious plans to invest in enhancing water and wastewater treatment capacity, but it is very unlikely that urban India will be able to treat all its wastewater anytime soon. There is, however, another user of wastewater which is largely ignored by municipal and government policies. Palrecha et. al. (2012) estimate that wastewater irrigates a gross area of 27,000 ha in and around seven cities of Gujarat.

The common problem in almost all the cities in India is the roads. There must be a independent office to maintain the roads. Partial privatization is advisable. Private companies can take the responsibility of maintaining certain kms of roads in each city. The roads not properly maintained by any responsible person must be fined heavily. This way we can have more number of people to be employed. There has to be a phone number where people can complain about any damaged road.
