In the Smart Cities planned by the Govt. I suggest to include Water Harvesting System in all Residential as well as Govt. Buildings compulsorily alongwith effective monitoring that water goes in to the soil instead of draining on the road/sewerage. It should be implemented all over India for which Govt. can pay subsidy or assist to construct the harvesting system by funding from Govt. sources and thereafter may collect expenditure from the citizens from their elect. or water bills in 10 years

Waste Management - Setting up of sewage treatment plants to segregate urea for agrl purposes, biogas plants to generate fuel and recycled water pipelines for gardens. Eliminating highrise structures and planning for a distinct area for waste disposal away from the city would be ideal. Following the Harappan system of drainage system is a necessity. Segregation of residential area and comml areas as well as markets would facilitate waste management

E-Governance - The model of BangaloreOne may be replicated by including all services including public transport passes, cabs- auto booking, railway booking, tatkal booking and all municipal record systems such as birth death certificates etc. The scheme of Sakaala of Karnataka is also a successful scheme that can be implemented. These centres could form the single window point for all regulatory authorities of centre, state and local bodies.Locating centres in res and comml centres

I belong from Patna. & here I realize the biggest problem in my city is of garbage dumping. Even in front of Deputy CM's & MLA's house u can see a mountain of garbage.so I will emphasis on garbage dumping then only our cities can be called smart. & 4 that we don't have to burn it & harm the atmosphere we can produce electricity from that whole lot of garbage n it's true. It can be possible.
