Agricultural universities along with all agricultural offices develop online tool/website to link real time information through mobile phones/radio/tv/twitter/facebook etc. This should provide complete information on agriculture including farming, marketing, soil, fertilisers, yield, pesticides, organical farming and new technologies. Websiet should have dedicated forums. MOST IMPORTANTLY FARMERS SHOULD BE ABLE TO SELL ONLINE, DIRECTLY TO CONSUMERS/MARKETS.

an application should be made, which could run on any mobile phone(i.e) any platform may it be(also a non internet phone) the application should run on internet and internet should be free for that particular app, the network company should provide it for free and the app will inform the farmers about weather, climate, precipitation, recommended crops for the season, there should be also a voice chat facility for getting information and asking queries from the expert.

First of all divide the states into different sectors depending upon the soil set-up experiments for different types of soil. Encourage farmers to grow both commercial crops and food crops which will make farming profitable. Ease the rules for exporting the agricultural products. Bring new policies which require faster allocation of funds and compensations. Make farmers to form a communities and encourage them to buy the machinery needed and produce solar power by giving them large subsidies.

We can build a market leveraging the use of mobile phone. Each farmer is given an ID connected to his mobile number. Different crops be given different codes. Farmers willing to sell send a text message in the prescribed syntax giving the commodity name, quantity he wishes to sell, and price and region/location code. This data from farmers of all over india be accumalated and provided as a platform for buyers to purchase.

Here are some of my thoughts: 1) Education hubs to Educate the farmers in their field of expertises: right from the technology they can use in farming to govt polices that relate to them etc. most important factor is that, this should be an ongoing process. 2) All the farmers should initially be educated about the basics of technology and the slowly be introduced to E-COMMERCE and they should be encouraged to sell online directly to customers, hence avoiding middle men and encouraging the farmer

Collective farming is the need of hour;because larger farming machinaries in smaller fields are failure, due to their operating cost.Machinaries on rent from govt. needs better maintanance, and real dedicated drivers. A kiosk in each village shall inform about schedule of these machines and their availability. Most important of all "STOP the 100 day govt. work scheme"

A farmer standing in his field will not be having television or computer in front of him.He will only be having mobile in his pocket. Thus to integrate farmers with technology, mobile is the easiest and quickest way out. We can use mobile based technologies like IVRS, USSD and SMS through which a farmer standing in field can ask specific queries through simple SMS or call and will get the answers immediately.Market Price of commodities of his choice and advisories can be sent on his mobile daily.
