The suggested RailWire solution for GP connectivity is with committed uptimes ( no payment if availability falls below 95% for that month),is capable of giving broadband to as many users as needed at nominal cost , offers a Rs.6000 device that converts any ordinary TV into a computer and supports host of VAS like OPEX based services of CCTV with Video Analytics, carrier grade WiFi, immersive Telepresence and even digital signages making the model self sustainable unlike all other NOFN schemes.

To strengthen optical fibre networks reach in india... public private partnership is required. Government involvement required to ensure that these technologies reaches to rural area. Projects like NOFN need to expedited as there is considerable delay in it. Private telcos when getting spectrum license from govt has to contribute to this nation initiative as a corporate social responsibility...

To strengthen our existing optical fiber networks we need to make a partnership between private sector company and government company so that the speed of the Internet increases. Maye anybody in india has the problem that the network is not available or the speed is not fast they make an opinion about the company that this company provides the services that are not good for and we pay for nothing. Likewise I prefer to use airtel 3g than any other network provider bcoz I get what I have paid for

MTNL is a very good company but it can perform better. This can be achieved by providing good services like setting up of internet connections, repairing as quickly as possible. Also MTNL should make more cheaper plans as compared to there present plans. By providing good services and cheaper plans internet will reach to many. This will also gove competition to other Internet Service Providers who will also try to perform better.

Government of India should try to contact Google.Google provides an amazing Google Fiber technology in some American cities. They are now looking forward to expand it to more cities. They might wanna try to spread this facility in India.Google always make the best things and it might develop the country's high speed network.

In my point of view, The OFC installation is a big challenging CIVIL work and very expensive tenders. So present ongoing methodology is also huge burden for people of this country to contribute for utilization of OFC networks. To generate funds for these OFC networks installation, another way is rising fund from all kind of cell phone users. It may be from Prepaid or Postpaid. I think One Rupee from one recharge or one cycle bill, enough to generate funds for implementing the new technology.

I am myself telecom enginer with specaliztion in network design. Optical fibre is the backbone of all communication irrespective of technology ie. 2g,3g, 4g,mpls etc. From my experience the main hinderence of development of robust fiber network is cost of laying the underground fiber. Currently cost lying a fiber lies between INR 4-10 lac per KM depending upon location. I have designed a collabrative method to lay fiber that can reduce the cost to 1.3 lac to 6 lacs, saving 12000 across India

Existing optical fiber infrastructure is a far cry from the optimal utilization of available resources and human intelligence could have taken. Still all is not lost since fiber optics provides near to infinite it’s not the matter of how many cables but how much vast the roots are.in the attached document few Ideas are enumerated which might help - I’ve worked with Airtel and BSNL both have experience as network designer for enterprise solutions
